Orthodontics Ankara

Straighter teeth, healthier bite

Orthodontic treatment corrects crowded, spaced or misaligned teeth and bite problems — improving both aesthetics and long-term oral health. We offer solutions for teenagers and adults.

Treatment options

  • Clear aligners — discreet, removable and comfortable
  • Fixed braces — for a wide range of cases
  • Digital planning to preview your result

Personalised planning

After a digital assessment we recommend the most suitable option and share a written plan with transparent pricing and expected timelines.

What determines the length of orthodontic treatment?

Treatment time depends on the degree of crowding, the bite relationship, age, bone response and how closely the plan is followed. Attending appointments regularly and, with clear aligners, wearing them for the recommended number of hours each day are decisive. Progress is assessed at each review and the plan is adjusted where necessary.

The retention phase

Once teeth reach their new positions, the surrounding tissues need time to adapt. Active treatment is therefore followed by a retention phase using a fixed retainer wire or a clear retainer. Not following retention advice can allow teeth to drift back towards their previous positions. The length of retention is determined individually.

Oral hygiene during treatment

Fixed appliances make plaque accumulation easier, so brushing and interdental cleaning become even more important. Avoiding hard and sticky foods reduces the chance of brackets debonding. With clear aligners, cleaning and storing the trays as advised protects both the appliance and your teeth.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is there an age limit for orthodontics?

Where gum and bone health allow, orthodontic treatment can be planned for adults too. In children, an early assessment can help guide growth.

Does it hurt after the braces are fitted?

Pressure or tenderness for a few days after fitting and after adjustments is common and usually settles quickly.

Clear aligners or fixed braces?

It depends on the complexity of the case and on daily compliance. Some movements are more predictable with fixed appliances.

Will teeth need to be extracted?

Not in every case. The need for space is assessed individually, and alternative approaches may be possible.

How often are check-ups?

Reviews are usually planned every few weeks, depending on the appliance and the stage of treatment.
